On Tuesday 6th October, 19:05 – 20:00, local mindfulness teacher Linda Ward will be running a class on mindfulness practice.

The class enables people to make time for themselves. It gives them tools to cope, reflect and manage their mental health, so important given the current coronavirus situation. Linda will guide the group through some simple mindfulness breathing techniques and gentle mindful movements to settle the mind and focus on the body. The class will end with a guided, deep relaxation, letting go of tensions in both mind and body.

Wednesday 14th October, 18:30 – 19:30, sees a BootyBarre taster class with Alex Parker.

Fantastic local instructor Alex will introduce the group to this dynamic and fun class that incorporates ballet barres. With upbeat music, the BootyBarre class is the perfect combination of ballet, Pilates and yoga. It’s all in a cardio format yet without jumping or impact on the joints.

Claire Kremer, Strength and Conditioning coach

Trainer Claire Kramer will be leading a Strength & Conditioning class on Thursday 20th October at 19:15 – 20:00.

Claire is a qualified Level 3 Fitness Instructor, Triathlon Coach and GP Exercise Referral specialist. This studio-based class has a maximum of 4 participants and will be tailored to the individual needs of the group, be that progressing their training, increasing cardiovascular fitness or improving strength. Strength & Conditioning classes are excellent for people who are coming to the end of physiotherapy and rehabilitation after injury and need to maintain and progress their training.

Louise O’Connell, co-owner and Pilates teacher at Bridge Health and Wellbeing said “We are always looking at ways to provide new wellbeing classes which encourage an even wider range of people to build strength and feel happy and healthy in their mind and body.
